Life is complicated. I believe a goal of therapy is to help people tolerate how complicated it is. As we move through life we experience both periods of contentment and of loss. I can help you get through these ups and downs, so you can build that resilience we all need in life.
Rather than follow the medical model that emphasizes diagnosis and pathology, I prefer to focus on people's competence. My therapy approach is to build on people's strengths, help them develop insights, and learn new skills in order to achieve a healthier lifestyle. I partner with my clients helping through their challenges and offering them a place to commit for meaningful change.
